Summarize

With 4secs left on the shot clock and no time-outs left for both teams, Nneka made a difficult clutch shot to put the Los Angeles Sparks ahead of Minnesota Lynx at 77 - 76. That was enough to win the game for the Sparks and to put a dagger right into the hearts of the Minnesota Lynx fans who were all clad in green.

This will be the team's first championship victory in 14 years having won the 2002 Championship and the first for both Candance Parker and Nneka Ogwumike. The final game in the 5-Game series was the second with less than two point margin. The first game finished 78-76 in favour of the Sparks. In JayZ's words “Grand opening, grand closing”

This victory came few weeks after she was announced as the Most Valuable Player of the 2016 WNBA season and few days after she was elected as president of the WNBA Players' Union.

Nneka's 2016 highlights include All-Defensive First Team, All-WNBA First Team, MVP and WNBA Champion. We are proud of you Nneka, continue to shine.
