The Lagos Islanders Basketball Team is known for setting the pace in Nigerian basketball. From being one of the first basketball team in Nigeria, producing a lot of basketball veteran and legends to becoming the first basketball team to have its own home court, charge a fee for basketball games and sell merchandise to fans.
Lagos Islanders recorded another first yesterday with the announcement of its new General Manager, Adekunle Binuyo. The first in the history of the sport franchise. Until his appointment, Adekunle was managing partner and editor of BasketballWithinBorder.
As the General Manager, Adekunle will be in charge of team management, public relations, marketing, general administration and day to day operations.
In response to questions concerning the team�s choice of GM, President and co-owner of Lagos Islanders, Damoye Oyesike said;
