Summarize

It was more than a physical and technical game for Kano Pillars. It was also a mental game as they played against the host club - Al Ahly Sports Club.  The arena was filled with Al Ahly fans who sang, chanted and cheered on their team on the top of their voice.

Al Ahly dominated the first three quarters lead with up to 34 points during the game. Kano Pillars fought the intimidation in the fourth quarter but it was a little too late. The game ended 76 - 92 in Al Ahly's favour.

The usual suspects - Abubakar Usman, Abdul Yahaya and Ejike Ugboaja - finished with double digit points with 14pts, 14pts and 19pts respectively, while Markeith Cummings finished as top scorer for Al Ahly with 15pts, 2 rebounds and 6 assists.

Kano Pillars third in the group and will play against Groupement Sportif des Petroliers of Algeria tomorrow in the quarter final game. Other Group A teams that made it out of the group stage include Al Ahly, Club Africain, and Premeiro D Agosto.
