Summarize

The semifinal game between Kano Pillars and Al Ahly was a very exciting one. Al Ahly played in front of their very loud and intimidating fans while the Kano Pillars were determined to pay Al Ahly back for the group stage defeat.

The two teams traded baskets all through the game and were tied at 34pts at the end of the first half. The game entered the last minute with Al Ahly ahead by 2points and hope for Kano Pillars. However, El Dahshan's 3 point shot with 45s left and three consecutive 3 point shots missed by Pillars' Stanley Gumut and Abubakar Usman was enough to seal the victory for the host team.

Abdul Yahaya and Ejike Ugboaja shooting percentages and efficiency dropped; leaving Abubakar Usman to carry the team. However, Abubakar's 35points were not enough.

The game was Kano Pillars' opportunity to end the decade long continental medal drought as a final game would have guaranteed them a medal. They will play against AS Sale in the 3rd place game while Al Ahly and CD Libolo battle for the trophy.
