The last time Kano Pillars won a medal at the continental championship was over two decades ago. Sadly, that drought will continue as they lost the opportunity to finish third to Association Sportive (AS) De Sale.
Although with a very slim margin, AS Sale won all four quarters to finish with a 12 points difference. The game ended 88 - 76.
Abubakar Usman, Matthew Onmonya and Abdul Yahaya had a combined 48 points but could not match Brandon Freeman's 30 points for AS Sale.
