The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) is less than a week away and part of this year`s agenda is an awards night to recognise and appreciate outstanding stakeholders for their contribution to the development of the sport.

In a statement released by the Head of Media of the Federation, Patrick Omorodion; `On January 31, 2017, the federation will  also hold an Awards Dinner to recognize, appreciate and honour deserving athletes, administrators, technical officials, sponsors, partners, contributors as well as the Media for their meritorious service and outstanding contribution to the development and growth of the game in Nigeria`

Among those to be honoured are two former NBBF Presidents HRM J.D. Buba and Senator U.K Umar. Posthumous awards will also be give to the late Vice President of the federation, Dr Segun Erinle, late fiba referee,Chris Obojememe and late National Coaches,Danjuma Lemmy Harry and Danjuma Danazumi.

The AGM is the avenue through which the leadership of the federation gives all stakeholders an account of the events for the past year. This year`s gathering will hold from Monday January 31 in Abuja and scheduled events include the AGM, Awards Dinner and refresher courses for all technical officials.

    I am impress wth what u people are doing nw in Nigeria Basketball i always prea to u people to continue updating us and Pls i will like to make more incoming teams to improve more Especial here in my state there are no taking care about young coming players.
