Summarize

The two-day action packed 3x3 event, the first in the history of the Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA), was held at the outdoor court of University of Lagos Sports Complex with the host Unilag and the University of Ibadan emerging overall winners of the male and female categories respectively.

The ten teams that particiated in the Preliminary Round One represented the South Eastern, Western and Southern Zones and they played round robin format and knock out rounds. The overall winners and the other top teams qualified for the Final 10 Playoffs in Abuja.

The second preliminary round featuring North Eastern, Western and Northern will be hosted by the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria this weekend 24 and 25 February. Five universities from each category - male and female - will also advance to the Final 10 Playoff.

The Final 10 Playoff will be held in Abuja in the first weekend in March. The event is sponsored by AMK Foundation.
