Rivers Hoopers will play their first home game of the season tomorrow when they host Kwara Falcons. The game is one of the games to look forward to this week as there is a silent rivalry between these two teams. Rivers Hoopers lost their first home game last season to Kwara Falcons and the Kings Men paid them back by winning the Third Place game during the Final Eight Playoff.
Kwara Falcons is the only unbeaten team in the Atlantic Conference and Rivers Hoopers` Coach Ogoh Odaudu understands that it will not be an easy encounter.
“I am not going to expect anything less than what we experienced from them last season. They are coached by a very good and experienced coach. You can tell it will be a game of coaches. We are going to work hard and hopefully at the end of the day we should be able to run away victors`
Talking about general preparation of the team to play its first game, the General Manager of the team, Ifie Ozaka confirmed that there`s been a lot of improvement to ensure a great atmosphere for the fans.
The GM has also urged the Port Harcourt fans to turn out en masse to come watch best of basketball as the players will be unveiled in front of the home fans. He made this comment during his visit to Treasure FM, Port Harcourt earlier today.
