Many thought the Customs - Oluyole Warriors game will be a walk in the park for the Customs as the Customs had a four game winning streak and Oluyole Warriors lost all of their four games played so far. But we were reminded that basketball is indeed a game of balls and in the world of sports, anything can happen.
Warriors` guard, Okpoye drained a deep 3 few seconds into the game to set the tempo, one which they maintained throughout the game. The Warriors led the game all through the fourth quarters including a 13-0 run in the Q3. Okpoye made 5 of his 8 3pt field goal to finish with 23pts. He was supported by Richard Odo (16pts,3 rebs,5 asts) and Olatubosun Ajayi (10pts,8 rebs,1 ast).
Seyi Ayodele (20pts) and Okiki Afuwape (16pts) led the scorers for Customs but their effort wasn`t enough to stop the Warriors. The team obviously missed Obum Onyia who did not play.
