Summarize

Young female basketball players now have the opportunity to be a part of the number one female basketball team in Nigeria as the First Bank Basketball team announces dates for its screening ahead of the 2018 season.

The 5 day screening will be held at the Warriors Academy Basketball Court Ilupeju, Lagos from Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th January 2018. The screening will help in identifying and selecting young players that will be a part of the team`s rebuilding process.

The target of the current champions of the Zenith Bank Women`s Basketball League is to conquer the continent by wining the FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Women - they finished 3rd in the last two outings - and to achieve this, rebuilding the team is necessary.

"Our strategy for next season is to be able to play 40 mins of hell, and to attain this we need young players who are skillful and energetic. The game has become very fast and technical. So we need to build up young players and inculcate in them the type of skills and rudiments we want, to be able to participate successfully with the rest of teams in the continent" - Coach Christopher Okoh, Assistant Coach.

For more information on the screening, interested players can contact the Head Coach, Assistant Coach or Team Manager.
