The men`s senior national team - DTigers - started their world cup qualifiers on a winning note by defeating Uganda with 16 points.
The team had a slow start trailing with as much as 9 points in the first quarter. However, team captain Diogu turned things around in the second quarter with the rest of team catching on.
Six players - Mike Efevberha (20) Obi Emegano (14), Ike Diogu (19), Ben Uzoh (15), Talib Zanna (13) and Bryant Mbamalu (11) - finished with double digit points.
The game ended 86-102.
Our next game is against Rwanda by 5.30pm.
