Summarize

The senior men`s basketball team will resume camp in Lagos ahead of the second leg of the first round of the African Qualifiers of the FIBA World Cup African Qualifiers. 

A total of eight players along with the Head Coach Alex Nwora, Assistant Coach Ogoh Odaudu and team Manager Musa Adamu have already arrived in Lagos.

The eight players are Emenago Obinna, Omoerah Keith Saido(Baerum Basketball club,Norway), Braxton Ogbueze Jai (Charlotte University), Mbamalu Bryant(CD Vildivia, Chile), Agada Caleb (Prat Basketball, Spain), Moses Kingsley (Antwerp Giant,Belgium), Mehinti Tosin (Lavrio,Greece) and Okosun Obehioye.

Other players named in the 17 man preliminary list including the first leg sensation Mike Efevberha, captain Ike Diogu, Afrobasket Champions Alade Aminu, Olaseni Lawal, Ben Uzoh are expected to arrive Lagos today. 

As part of preparation for the qualifiers, DTigers will play friendly games against Cote d`Ivoire who currently sit fourth place in Group D of the African Qualifiers on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th in Abidjan.


The team will also play Gabon and Republic of Benin on 26th and 27th respectively before heading back to Lagos. 

The African qualifiers will be played in the Indoor Arena of the National Stadium Surulere Lagos from Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July. DTigers currently lead Group B after winning all three games in the first leg in Mali.
