Summarize

Tomorrow, 6th November, the players representing Nigeria in the four categories - senior men and women, U-18 boy and girls - at the 3x3 FIBA Africa Cup will head out to Kampala, Uganda. The players have been camping in Abuja for 3 weeks under the supervision of coaches Acha Chris, Christopher Okoh, Juliana Akhere, and Nnorom Mark. 

Here is the team composition;

Senior men:

1. Ibe Abuchi Agu - (Gombe Bulls);

2. Subel Lucky - (Kano Pillars);

3. Godwin David - (Kano Pillars) and

4. Koko Victor - (River Hoopers).

Senior women:

1. Okoro Ifunanya - (First Bank);

2. Theresa Mac-Dangosu - (Nig. Customs);

3. Okah Chinwe - (Air Warriors) and

4. Gloria Umeh - (Plateau Rocks).


U18 boys:

1. Mustapha Oyebanji -(Kwara Falcons)

2. Kanyinsola Odufuwa - (Hoops & Read)

3. Oyedokun Olamilekan (Flygerian)

4. Lekan Akomolafe - (Kwara Falcons)

U18 girls:

1. Ubi Majomary - (Dolphins)

2. Joseph Godsgift - (MFM)

3. Ezebilo Grace - (MFM)

4. John Grace (First Bank)

In the maiden edition of African championship in 2017, the men`s team won gold while the women won silver. However, both senior teams fell short in 2018 with the men winning the bronze while the women finished in 4th place.

The men`s team is grouped along with Mauritius and Uganda, while the women`s team is grouped alongside Uganda and Kenya. The U18 boys are grouped with Niger, Uganda, and Burundi; while the girls will play against Egypt, Mali, and Kenya. The games will tip-off on Friday 8th November.
