Port-Harcout based Rivers Hoopers defeated Raptors Basketball Club 97-57 to win the 2019 Presidents Cup played at the National Stadium Surulere.
In the finals, which Rivers Hoopers dominated from tip off to final buzzer, Ikechukwu Benjamin, Victor Anthony and Solomon Ajegbeyi finished with double digit points with 20 points, 15 points and 11 points each. Victor Anthony also had 12 rebounds to provide the game with its only double-double.
Two of the team`s players - Abdul Yahaya and Ikechukwu Benjamin, along with Kwara Falcons` Godwin David, Niger Potters` Gabriel Erameh and Raptors` Ginikachukwu Godspower were named tournament`s top five players.
Abdul Yahaya was the Most Valuable Player, and he dedicated his award to his team mates.

Oyebanji Mustapha of Kwara Falcons was highest scorer, while Ginikachukwu Godspower made the most three points in the tournament. Victor Anthony blocked the most shots, and Raptors` Innocent Ebuka was highest rebounder.
With this victory, Rivers Hoopers will represent Nigeria at the maiden edition of the Basketball Africa League scheduled to start next year in March. They join the league winners from Senegal, Angola, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco.
