The Nigeria Basketball Federation has announced that the 2016 Division 1 Championship will tip off on Friday 18th November 2016 at the indoor sports hall of the National Stadium, Abuja.
The full schedule of the tournament is as follows;
Arrival: 16th November.
Technical Meeting: 17th November.
Games: 18th - 26th November.
Departure: 27th November.
All teams are expected to attend the Technical Meeting as absent teams will not be included in the tournament fixtures.
The Division 1 Championship is the second-tier league in Nigeria as the top two teams from the event gets promoted into the DSTV Premier Basketball League. Last year, Rivers Hoopers and Niger Potters topped the Atlantic and Savannah Group respectively and were promoted back into the premier league.
