2015 Afrobasket Most Valuable Player and tournament’s three-points leading scorer, Chamberlain Emeka Oguchi will be a part of Sole De Mexicali’s roster for the 2016-17 campaign. Chamberlain will leave his Poland club Anwil Wlocawek to join the California side.

This announcement was made on the club’s official website on Wednesday September 28 and on Chamberlain’s social media platforms yesterday.

Chamberlain says “I`m happy to announce that this fall I`m going to take my talents to South of the California border to join the Soles de Mexicali of Baja, California. I`m excited for the opportunity to play for a heralded club in hopes to bring another championship to the city and fans of Mexicali”

He has played professional basketball in different countries around the world including France, Lebanon, Spain, Russia, Philippines, Venezuela, and recently, Poland. He was instrumental in Nigeria’s victory at the 2015 Afrobasket and was also a member of the 2016 Summer Olympics team.
