As part of the NBA Africa Games tradition, the Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Africa will be held at the American International School of Johannesburg from Wednesday August 2 to Saturday August 5.
BWB, which is the NBA and FIBA`s global basketball development and community outreach program, will feature 80 boys and girls ages 17 and under from 26 African countries.
Nigeria will be represented by 9 players, the second highest no of participants behind Senegal (10) - as follows;

The campers will be coached by notable NBA and FIBA players, including Dirk Nowitzki, Kristaps Porzingis, Victor Oladipo, Bismack Biyombo, Clint Capela, DeMarcus Cousins Luol Deng , Gorgui Dieng, Joel Embiid and others. These players will be joined by other important NBA personnels including NBA Global Ambassador Dikembe Mutombo and Raptors President Masai Ujiri.
The campers will be led through a variety of activities on and off the court, including movement efficiency, positional skill development, shooting and skills competitions, 5-on-5 games, and daily life skills seminars focusing on health, leadership and communication. At the end of the 4 day camp, one boy and one girl will be named BWB Africa Camp MVPs.
The NBA and FIBA have staged 50 BWB camps in 31 cities across 26 countries on six continents. More than 230 current and former NBA, WNBA and FIBA players have joined more than 185 NBA team personnel from all 30 NBA teams to support BWB across the world.
