The captain of the men`s basketball team - DTigers - and the Most Valuable Player of the 2017 Afrobasket Tournament Ike Diogu applauded his teams for a wonderful experience and victory at the continental tournament.
Diogu a.k.a Black Caesar shared this on his Instagram page (@blackcaesar01);
"Many thanks to my brothers Ikenna Iroegbu, Ikechuckwu Nwamu, Bryant Mbamalu, Daniel Ochefu, O`karo Akamune and the rest of the clique for making this one of the best times of my life. I`m truly honoured that I got to suit up and rumble with you all. We are only going up and trust me, we are coming right back for that title"
In their response, the young lads, most of which made their debuts for Nigeria during the tournament described the Captain as the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time).

Diogu finished as one the tournament`s Top Five Players, got the award for the Highest Scorer with 22 PPG and was crowned Most Valuable Player.
