Following their remarkable performance at the just concluded FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Women in Mozambique, the leadership of the Nigerian Basketball Federation has sent congratulatory message to the management of the club

In the letter signed by the NBBF President, Tijani Umar, the NBBF recognized and commended the bank�s relentless commitment to continue to provide opportunities to young women to better their lives through basketball.

�The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) wishes to heartily congratulate the players, staff and management of First Bank Basketball Club (Elephant Girls) for ably representing Nigeria and clinching the bronze medal in the just concluded FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Women in Maputo, Mozambique. 

Your club has been in the forefront of Nigerian Women Basketball in the last two decades and from this recent result, look set to lead into the future. We identify with the relentless commitment to continue to provide opportunities to young women to better their lives through basketball.

We wish you many more success and look forward to a useful collaboration in our mutual effort to fully integrate women in our public life through basketball.
