Summarize

The Oluyole Warriors have commenced preparations towards the tip off of the 2017 Season of the Premier Basketball League. The club will start its screening for new players this morning at the outdoor basketball court of the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.

The club has about two weeks to finalise its roster and start training. Acknowledging that this might be too close, Head Coach of the club Taiwo Sobogun still thinks a lot can be achieved; "We are more than prepared despite the late start up and we are optimistic that we will put up a very impressive performance this year"

The last time Oluyole Warriors retained most of its players was in 2014 when only 5 new players were added to the roster. Subsequently, the club replaces about 70% of its players on a yearly basis. We are not so sure if that is the same approach that will be taken this year but we expect that the ability to reach an agreement with the current players will be a determinant.

Oluyole Warriors finished overall 8th last year while they failed to advance to the Final Eight Playoffs in 2015. Pressure will be on the new recruits to perform better this season.
