The first phase of the 2017 Season of the Zenith Bank Women`s Basketball League tipped of yesterday at the Indoor Hall of the National Stadium Abuja (Package). The eighteen participating teams were group into 3 - A, B and C - and 6 games were played in Day 1;
The Elephant Girls of First Bank are defending champions and as confirmed by the Head Coach Peter Ahmedu, they will leave no stones unturned in their bid to retain the title. They won their first game against Nasawara Amazons. Other teams who recorded victories include Delta Force, IGP Queens, Dolphins, Plateau Rocks and Customs.
