The four Nigerian basketball stars on the AS Nigelec roster - Timothy Kwaor, Dele Ademola, Eli Abraham, and Onyeka Okeke have helped the Niger club finish top two in the Group B qualifiers of the Basketball Africa League going on in Cotonou, hence qualifying for the next round - Elite 16 - of the qualifiers.
Although the club lost its first game against Abidjan Basketball Club, they won the remaining three games against Braves of Custom, NPA Pythons, and ASPAC respectively. They finished with 7 points and no matter the outcome of the other group games played today, they will advance to the next stage of the qualifiers.
Timothy Kwaor, Eli Abraham and Dele Ademola averaged double-digit points in the four games played with 21pts, 18pts, and 16pts respectively.
AS Nigelec, along with 11 other teams from Groups A, C, D, E and F; and the four wild card teams, will play in the Elite 16 later this month
