Rivers Hoopers` hope of picking a continental ticket has been dashed as the team has pulled out of the third and final phase of the Kwese Premier Basketball League - The Final Eight.

This was confirmed in a statement released via the team`s official Twitter account @RiversHoopers; `We will not be going for the Final Eight. We feel sad our efforts all season is going down in this manner. We thank our fans for all their support`

This was also confirmed by the General Manager Ifie Ozaka `Unfortunately, Rivers Hoopers are officially out of the Kwese Final Eight Playoffs. Very sad for our players`
