Summarize

The last set of games of the first phase of the 2017 Season of the Zenith Bank Women`s Basketball League were played yesterday in Abuja with First Bank, Dolphins and IGP Queens finishing top of their respective groups. 

A total of 45 games were played by the 18 teams and all team won at least one game each except Taraba Hurricanes, Coal City Queens and Ekiti Angels. They finished bottom of their respective groups. IGP Queens, First Bank and Dolphins were unbeaten through out the tournament. 

Phase One gave us some very interesting and historical moments. Ekiti Angels became the team with the lowest points ever in the league scoring only 8 points in their game against GT 2000. They also had the widest margin (81pts) in the loss they suffered against IGP Queens. The game finished 19 - 100.

The second phase is expected to tip off in Kaduna on Monday, 1st May. At the end of the second phase, only the top 4 team in each group (total of 12) will advance to the next phase.
