First Bank basketball team cruised pass Kenya's
United State International University in their fourth and final group game of
the FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Women. The game finished 77 - 33 with first
bank dominating all four quarters.
Nkechi Akashili (10pts, 4 reb), Nkem Akaraiwe (14pts, 1 reb) and Chioma Udeaja (16pts, 4 reb) led the scorers for First Bank. DTigress' centre - Olayinka Sanni - who finally joined the team finished with 2points and 3 rebounds.
The team ends the group stage with a 3 - 1 record, finishing second behind Desportivo Premeiro D'Agosto. They will meet FAP Basketball Team of Cameroon in their Quarter Final game tomorrow.
